When should I show up to my appointment?

  • Please arrive to your appointment 15 minutes early. The first portion of every massage is is exploring what you need. During your first appointment this will include new client paperwork, discussion of your needs and my recommendations while developing a targeted plan of massage tailored specifically for you. This time is 'built in' to my appointments with you so that you never have to worry about being 'shorted' on the time I spend listening, caring, planning and massaging!

What can I expect before my massage?

  • Before your massage session with me, you will fill out some paperwork.  We will sit down and go over the paperwork along with some preliminary questions to determine the type of massage you want, and any overall health problems there may be. This part of the interview can be a little intimate, but these questions are only asked so that I can care for you in the best way possible, and to help achieve your health and wellness goals.

What should I expect the massage session to be like?

  • During the interview process, I will take you to the room that you would be getting the massage in, so you will feel comfortable with your surroundings. There will be dimmed lighting, and soft music playing. If you are uncomfortable with any of this, just let me know and we can make adjustments. 

  • You will be asked to remove clothing to YOUR level of comfort. I will always step out of the room while you do this, and again, only take off only as much as you are comfortable with removing. 

  • You will lie down on the massage table, underneath provided sheets and blankets, which will cover your body except for the part being massaged.

  • Once you are on the table, you'll find that the table is warmed, so if it gets too hot, please don't hesitate to let me know.  I have many pillows and support products, so if you feel like any part of your body is not able to relax, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Can I massage someone with a terminal illness or serious injury?

  • Absolutely.  All that I require in this case, is a signed release from your doctor, stating you are okay to receive massage!

What are the different types are massage?

  • Swedish: This type of massage is very gentle and is ideal for people who are new to massage, or are very sensitive to touch. This is a great choice for you when you want to fully relax.

  • Deep tissue: This type of massage uses more pressure than Swedish massage. It is a great option if you have chronic muscle problems or soreness from injury or imbalance. While deep tissue is a little more intense, you shouldn't feel any pain or soreness.

  • Hot Stone: This type of therapeutic massage is similar to Swedish massage, only the massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of, or in addition to, their hands.  It can help ease muscle tension, improve blood flow and relieve pain. Cold stone can be thrown in to ease any muscular pains in specific areas!

Can you massage kids?

I can absolutely do massage for our kiddos! It will be a little different from your traditional massage because a parent, or guardian, will have to be in the room with anyone under the age of eighteen. I will also have a few more papers that the parent or guardian will have to fill out!  Overall, I love working with kids and teenagers.  It's very important they stay on top of their health and wellness, and I feel honored to help them on that journey!

What kind of oils and lotions do you use?

  • I use an all organic, natural massage oil that combines organic Jojoba oil, organic olive oil, and organic Shea butter for a soothing, and very moisturizing experience. There are absolutely no nut oils in the brands I use, so that it's safe for everyone!  If you prefer a lotion, I always have some on hand!  It too, is organic and completely nut free!

What is your cancellation policy?

  • You may cancel your appointment without charge up to 24 hours preceding your appointment. Same day cancellations will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. If you do not call to cancel your appointment or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged full price for the scheduled service.

What if I am late to my appointment?

  • All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule, therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments.

  • In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.
